Dear Readers,

I hope that you and your family are safe and following the norms imposed by the government. Our journal is enduring to originate in response to the changing atmosphere experiencing in the publication world at the global perspective.

As the journal's website has been migrated to a new platform, we have been experiencing technical issues in terms of nonfunction of features with the inbuilt system which is requiring time to resolve. With migration, the voluntary participation is consolidated, hence dealing with this “new website” is still challenging for us. The inaccessible system is resulting in the delay of peer review, acceptance and publishing the manuscripts. Rest assured, the accepted manuscripts will be published during the course of time, but it may be difficult to embrace in the present issue, so approximately fifty articles have been accommodated. This is due to the space constraints, and thus we devise strategies to publish more online-only articles further, which will be available on the website.

I must also like to bring to your notice in this extended period of my tenure, with the updated website, I have also revised our editorial team members with fresh faces. As the saying goes, one might say, sad–sweet experience, I thank all the members who lend their hand to work with me during these years and take this opportunity to welcome our new editorial board associates. I consider this is a period of change, and not austerity. This will not be an easy task as of now, and our editorial board are constantly working hard during this period to develop a plan to bring about this transition in a way that does not affect the work of authors, publication procedure or overburden authors or our staff. I would also like to convey to authors regarding certain publication categories to adhere to stricter overall word counts, sample sizes, ethical considerations and plagiarism issues. I would also like to inform the authors that the publication charges will be revised soon due to inflation of the publication charges and maintenance globally and also to minimize the financial overburdening of our esteemed association. This amendment was much inevitable.

I hope this present website will improve our journal's overall indexing, attract a wider audience of specialists, vision scientists, researchers and the public. Please take time to convey your thoughts on this challenge to me or to any of our editorial board members.

Thanking you.
