Our Journal was established to promote researchers to grow at all stages including scholars, professors, students and scientists who seek publishing opportunities of their research. We ensure to meet the needs of members from national and international communities and continue to help everyone interested in oral pathology. Papers from all over the world are welcomed for publication in our Journal. We, once again, believe that this Journal will continue to be a significant conduit for scientific knowledge on a very broad international level. I anticipate that our readers, authors and subscribers stake a similar image, and we look forward to a fruitful, challenging and efficacious 2020 ahead. In the spirit of constant upgrading, your criticism regarding our Journal is welcome.
Emerging hot topic is a new segment which is added from this issue from the editorial team keeping in mind with the Covid 19 outbreak. As there are news, opinions and facts all over; we need to be careful to follow the regional guidelines and scientific facts (given that recent round table sms that is doing the round i.e in reference to Dr Devi Shetty's comments), I felt instigated to add this column taking the help from my editorial team and eminent personality from our oral pathology fraternity, Dr. K Ranganathan sir. He has briefed the clinical aspects, symptoms, treatment and precautions to be taken as a dentist when encountered by a positive Covid 19 patients. Any queries or propositions regarding Covid 19 can be mailed to me and I shall get back to you at the earliest.
A message from the President to the budding oral pathologists and Letter To The Editor has been contributed to our readers from our current IAOMP President Dr. Susmita Saxena. I also would like to bring to the notice of the readers that we were not able to conduct regular EC meetings due to which the financial aspects and the publication charges were not revised and shall remain same till further notice. The final proof and delivery of the hard copies of this issue will be delayed due to the outbreak of coronavirus. I request our readers to kindly cooperate as we have to survive this pandemic and focus on health and safety of the people.
