Dear Readers,

Season's greetings from the editorial board of JOMFP. After the conclusion of NEET 2017 PG counseling, the pan India scenario of PG admissions in oral pathology is very grim and in turn this has put a serious pressure on the faculty. This situation has to change at the earliest and for this I urge the senior members of the faculty to come up with suggestions on actions to be taken for improving the situation.

JOMFP in this hour of crisis has taken necessary steps to maintain the quality of the journal. As Medknow has been taken over by Wolters Kluwer, JOMFP is now associated with Wolters Kluwer directly. As the saying goes “every step in the right direction has its own thorns,” this change in publishing house also has its own impact. The publishing charges for each article have increased as per the requirements of the publishing house which in the long run would provide our readers with consistently high standards of the journal. I hope our readers would understand the existing circumstances and cooperate with us and I am also confident that you will all continue to extend your patronage with us in these difficult times.

On behalf of the editorial team, I request the senior faculty members to send more invited reviews on various aspects of the subject and also about the various events that are being organized at international level so that they can be of great value for the postgraduate students.

I would like to personally thank my entire editorial team and reviewers whose constant efforts are helping me bringing up the journals on time.

Looking forward for your valuable suggestions.
